Mr. Oğuzhan Akınç is the Head of Zero Waste Management Department at the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization. Mr.
Akınç graduated from the Chemical Engineering Department of Gazi University in 2005. In 2008, he completed his M.Sc. in the same department on fuel cells. Between 2007 and 2018, Mr. Akınç worked as an expert in the field of waste management in the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization where he focused on hazardous waste classification and management, industrial waste management, project inspection and licensing of waste recovery and disposal plants. Mr. Akınç took part in the coordination and implementation of the By-Law on Waste Management which is the national waste framework legislation. From December 2018 until February 2019, Mr. Akınç worked as the Branch Manager of Zero Waste and Packaging Waste Branch. As of February 2019, he has been working as the Head of Zero Waste Management Department.
