Luke Ballman is a legislative and regulatory affairs strategist with nearly 20 years of experience in the areas of banking, domestic and international finance, and national security.
Prior to joining Chartwell Strategy Group, Luke served as a Deputy Assistant Secretary for Legislative Affairs at the U.S. Department of Treasury under President Barack Obama and President Donald Trump. During his time at Treasury, Luke worked closely with Republicans and Democrats in Congress to craft legislation and communicate the Administration’s position on critical domestic and international issues. During his time at Treasury, Luke worked on anti-money laundering, Bank Secrecy Act, CFIUS, and sanctions-related issues.
Earlier in his career, Luke worked on Capitol Hill for U.S. Senator Mark Dayton (D-MN) and Congressman Rob Andrews (D-NJ), members of the Senate and House Armed Services Committee respectively, handling national security matters. Luke graduated from Gettysburg College.
